If you are considering working with me, here is a transparent look at how my consultancy process works from first contact to final delivery. This is the same structured workflow I use with publishers, documentary teams, game studios, exhibition teams, and other creative partners.

How the Consultancy Process Works

1. Submit the Contact Form Share a brief outline of your project, including the project type and approximate budget.

2. I Review Your Enquiry I read your message and request any additional materials needed to understand your project.

3. Introductory Call Scheduled If the project is a good fit, I respond within 2–3 working days and arrange a short Zoom or Teams call.

4. Free Introductory Call (10–30 minutes) We discuss your goals, confirm scientific fit, and outline the best way forward.

5. Project Agreement & Minimum Fee After the call, I send a project agreement. Once approved, the £2,000/£4,000 minimum project fee is invoiced. This covers onboarding, preparation, and the initial scientific review.

6. Initial Scientific Review (Tailored to Your Project) The review focuses on the specific materials you provide. Typical elements include:

  • Scientific accuracy assessment
  • Annotated palaeontological notes
  • Identification of scientific risks
  • Recommendations for improvement
  • Structured next‑step planning

7. Full Consultancy Ongoing hourly consultancy work begins, ensuring steady progress and consistent scientific guidance.

If your work involves prehistoric life and you want it to be grounded in the best available science and communicated in a way that excites and engages, I am always happy to discuss how my expertise can support your creative goals. You can contact me at the contact form at the button below.
