I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival last year and it was a fantastic experience. It was a great opportunity for me to be able to share my palaeontology expertise and information about the Jurassic Coast with the public, especially those who had never visited the Jurassic Coast before.

I highly recommend checking the fossil festival out for a fun few days of palaeontological activities, talks, workshops and performances.

You can check out the partners and exhibitors from last years fossil festival in this video.

I sadly won’t be attending the event this year as I will be doing palaeontology fieldwork this summer, but it should be fantastic event for Lyme Regis, palaeontology, and visitors to the Jurassic Coast. You can find out more about the Fossil Festival at the official website here.
