In this article I cover some exciting news about the hit Netflix documentary series Life on Our Planet that dropped today from Silverback Films. You can find out more below!

Some major news has dropped from Life on Our Planet series creators Silverback Films about an upcoming audio-visual concert coming this October 2024.

I enjoyed watching the Life on Our Planet series when it released on Netflix on the 25th of October 2023. The series made palaeontology and geological time very accessible to a global audience and was an immense success, with a current rating of 8.1 on IMDB and a 74% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The documentary did a wonderful job of displaying the diversification and evolution of life throughout the Earth’s palaeontological history and comparing this alongside the extant taxa of today.

Since the show dropped on Netflix back in October Palaeocast a palaeontology podcast dropped a number of podcast episodes talking with the directors, researchers, and creatives of the series. Silverback Films researcher Dr Tom Fletcher also published a book on the series and now Life on Our Planet is getting its own unique live concert experience.
