In this brief article, I review the Noble Collection Life Finds A Way replica statue of the Baby Velociraptor from Jurassic Park.

I just wanted to cover this item in a brief article after I recently received it as a birthday present. I came across this Noble Collection Baby Raptor statue recently and thought it would be a great figurine to own. The box is labelled under Toyllectible Treasures, which is Noble Collections new range of dioramas from fan favourite franchises. The diorama statue looks absolutely fantastic and is cheap for a Jurassic Park replica at only £25.

Since receiving the figure, I have spent a bit of time looking at it. I am incredibly happy with the diorama; it looks very impressive. The statue comes with a display stand which is separate and displays the hatchery eggs from the Isla Nublar lab. The Jurassic Park text is also displayed on the front of the stand alongside a small image of the JP logo. The statue comes protected in a cardboard frame within the box, with the Raptor and egg in a small protective bag.

The box is decorated with the classic Jurassic Park sunset background as well as the 30th anniversary Jurassic Park logo. There are some additional promotional images on the box sides and information about celebrating the films 30th anniversary.

I would say that this statue is the best Jurassic Park diorama produced by Nobel Collection so far. It is intricately crafted with a ridiculous amount of attention to detail. From the texture and cracks on the egg, to the paint work on the egg interior and Baby Velociraptor itself.

The Raptor is fixed in the egg so you cannot remove it and the jaw is also not articulated. This is not much of an issue, as the figure looks fantastic as it is. Whilst jaw articulation would have been nice, it does not take anything away from how good the diorama looks. The Baby Raptor closely resembles the one seen in Jurassic Park and for how much the statue is worth, the detail added makes the figure feel more expensive than it is. I do not have any problems with the Raptor model itself, it looks really good.

Overall, I would highly recommend that Jurassic Park and dinosaur fans pick this replica up. It looks very cool on a display with other palaeontology and Jurassic franchise replicas or statues. It is distinct enough to stand out from other statues out there and replicates an iconic scene from Jurassic Park. It is also available at a very reasonable price tag, which is quite a surprise when a lot of the Mattel toys out there are more expensive and yet less detailed.

The video above showcases some of the Noble Collection dioramas they have produced. The Life Finds a Way Baby Velociraptor is one of them.

I’m currently in the process of working on developing this website a lot more. You can find out about the developments already undertaken at this blog post. I am excited about the work I have planned and there should be a lot more dinosaur and palaeo content to be added over the coming months and year.
