The long awaited first teaser trailer for Prehistoric Planet Season 2 has dropped online.

Just a brief article from me about a trailer surprise that I did not expect would drop today. The first official teaser trailer for Prehistoric Planet Season 2 has dropped online. The 5-night event starts on the 22nd of May 2023 on Apple TV Plus. You can check the trailer out below!

The YouTube information states the following.

“Prehistoric Planet, from executive producers Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, combines award-winning wildlife filmmaking, the latest palaeontology learnings, and state-of-the-art technology to unveil the spectacular habitats and inhabitants of ancient Earth for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.

The series is produced by the world-renowned team at BBC Studios Natural History Unit (“Planet Earth”) with support from the photorealistic visual effects of MPC (“The Lion King,” “The Jungle Book”) applied to concept art created by Jellyfish Pictures (“The Book of Boba Fett,” “Spirit: Untamed”). Prehistoric Planet season two continues to bring Earth’s history to life like never before as the series presents new dinosaurs, new habitats and new scientific discoveries while taking viewers around the world in an epic five-night adventure. With new dinosaurs like the Tarchia, one of the largest Ankylosaurus, to returning fan-favorites like the Tyrannosaurus rex, and many more, Prehistoric Planet returns with an all-new season of prehistoric wonders.”

The footage in the new trailer looks fantastic, and I am really looking forward to catching the series at the end of May. The first season of Prehistoric Planet was what I considered to be one of the best palaeo documentary series we have ever received. So, I am looking forward to this new season and the important palaeontological research and knowledge that will be displayed and incorporated in this new season.

I will be reviewing the series once I have seen it all, so be sure to keep an eye on the blog for when that review drops.
